ABOUT US
Sharon's career with dogs began over 30 years ago as a volunteer at a rescue centre. From here Sharon's love of dogs grew as did her interest in Dog Behaviour. This lead to Sharon enrolling on an Animal Behaviour degree course at De'Montford University. On completion of her course Sharon took on a teaching role in a Further education Animal Care College where she taught a range of students for ten years. Alongside running Dog Training Classes in her own time.

Deciding that she was ready to move on from her teaching job, Sharon set up Lakeside Dog Training & Behaviour. Aimed at Pet dog owners. Lakeside offers a range of services to help caregivers get the very best from their relationships with their dog. Whether that is introducing puppies' to training classes, helping to overcome training challenges or simply enjoying time together in a hoopers or gundog class.

Sharon's greatest love is her gundogs, 10 year old rescue chocolate labrador Willow and 2 year old Springer spaniel Sidney. Sharon loves the gundog enthusiasm for life and feels her relationship with her own dogs has blossomed since she gained a greater understanding of their natural behaviours and breed instincts. In 2022 Sharon completed a teachers course with the Gundog Trainers Academy to further her knowledge and enable her to help other gundog owners to understand their dogs and build a positive relationship based on trust and understanding.
